Collection: The Nubia Collection

The inspiration for my hat and bag collection originates from Aswan, Egypt- the birthplace of my grandmother.

I went on my first trip to the beautiful city in 2021 and fell in love with the bright colours and patterns of the Nubian art work, houses and accessories.

After seeing the vibrant hats and bags being sold in the market stalls, I decided I had to share these eye-catching garms with my Ancient Naturals fam. I was connected to a group of lovely women in Aswan who specialised in hand crafting crochet items and brought them my own colour schemes to work with.

This project has been almost a year in the making and is so special to my heart as I am sharing the history and heritage of my family, whilst collaborating with talented local garment makers at an ethical and fair trade standard.
